Noetix Robotics Shines with Gold and Silver Medals at Global Humanoid Robotics Games
Noetix Robotics Shines at Global Humanoid Robotics Games
In an impressive display of technological prowess, Noetix Robotics, a burgeoning humanoid robotics company headquartered in Beijing, achieved remarkable success at the Global Humanoid Robotics Games recently. The company clinched two gold medals and one silver, securing a top spot in the overall medal tally. Competing with their humanoid robots, N2 and the cutting-edge E1, Noetix demonstrated not only athletic excellence but also their commitment to integrating humanoid robots into everyday life.
The achievement at the Games marks a significant milestone in their ambition to develop advanced humanoid technology for practical applications. Zheyuan Jiang, the president of Noetix Robotics, expressed pride in their success: "This year’s results reflect our progress and our commitment to paving the way for humanoid robots. They are more than just technological advancements; they represent a bridge between technology and human life. At Noetix, we strive to transition robots from laboratories into everyday life, where they can serve as companions and trusted assistants."
Beijing has recently emerged as a prime hub for robotics, fueled by strong political support and continuous investments in core technologies and supply chains. This environment has fostered a vibrant ecosystem of robotics companies, underpinned by a wealth of talent, funding, and various supportive infrastructures. Notably, the Beijing government has provided significant backing to Noetix, helping with policies regarding talent, workspace, and investment incentives. By hosting the Global Humanoid Robotics Games, the city has established an international platform that promotes technical innovation and public interest in embodied intelligence.
Noetix Robotics was among the highest participants, entering nine distinct events, including the 100m, 400m, and 1500m sprints, 4x100m relay, hurdle events, high jump, long jump, and even artistic matches like solo dance and gymnastics.
Their two robots, the compact N2 and the newly unveiled E1, showcased versatility, agility, and innovative capabilities in both athletic and artistic dimensions. The lightweight N2 features 18 degrees of freedom, has an autonomy of one to two hours, and can reach maximum speeds of 3.2 meters per second. Equipped with proprietary movement control algorithms, it adapts adeptly to uneven terrains and executes complex movements, including flips, sprints, and dance routines. Its remarkable performance-to-cost ratio also makes it a popular choice in education and dynamic demonstrations.
The E1, a state-of-the-art bipedal humanoid standing at 1.36 meters, boasts 21 degrees of freedom, enhanced arm flexibility, and modular design. It walks at a speed of 1.2 meters per second and shares a similar autonomy range as its counterpart. With multimodal AI capabilities, the E1 synchronizes speech, facial expressions, and body movements, allowing for low-latency responses and multilingual interactions. Its energy-efficient 48V system supports memory functions, personality development, and immersive engagement, allowing unique customization options for appearance and character. Featuring modular capabilities such as advanced hands and sophisticated arms, E1 is among the most versatile humanoid robots currently available.
At the competition, Noetix not only displayed athletic prowess but cultural flair. The E1 won gold in the no-run long jump category with a leap of 1.25 meters, while the N2 dazzled audiences in gymnastics, scoring a remarkable 41.60 points through a series of acrobatic feats, outshining all other competitors’ scores combined. The silver medal came from a captivating solo dance performance, where Noetix collaborated with the Beijing Dance Academy to present Yingge, a traditional folk dance from the Chaozhou-Shantou region, achieving 95.30 points, just shy of a gold medal.
Looking ahead, Noetix Robotics envisions humanoid robots seamlessly integrated into daily life, serving as companions, aides, and household assistants. The company aims to further enhance the athletic and functional capabilities of its robots, transitioning from laboratory research and competitions to real-world applications that enrich human lives.
