This Golden Week, from May 2nd to 6th, 2026, Mitten Fuchu will host a unique event designed by the innovative education company Pendemy. Titled "Experience the World of Minecraft!? Create Your Own Custom Block through Element Experiments!", this exciting workshop offers elementary school students the chance to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Minecraft while learning about scientific elements.

Pendemy, known for merging cutting-edge digital technology with hands-on education, is excited to bring this interactive experience to life at the 9th-floor event space of Mitten Fuchu. Following the popularity of previous programming events themed around similar subjects, this workshop has already garnered attention from both parents and children alike, ensuring a memorable holiday experience.

The Learning Journey: Three Engaging Steps

Participants will explore the fascinating world of elements through three carefully designed steps that nurture their natural curiosity:

1. Introduction Lecture: Discover the Secrets of Elements
This initial lecture will reveal the underlying elements that make up the worlds we see, even in games like Minecraft. Using familiar materials from the game, kids will learn about the basics of science and elements in a fun and accessible way. For example, participants will examine what elements make up ice blocks and emerald blocks, sparking interest in the science behind everyday materials.

2. Block Creation: Craft Your Own Unique Block
After learning about the needed materials, participants will select a block they wish to create and confirm the necessary atoms for that block. Using cardboard cube templates and colored paper, they will design and craft Minecraft-themed blocks. Each participant’s handcrafted creations will contribute to a collaborative art installation, enhancing the immersive atmosphere of the event.

3. Exhibit Setup: Build a Giant Minecraft Space Together!
The finished blocks will be displayed in a specially designed area within the event space, allowing participants to see their contributions come to life as a mini-Minecraft world. As attendees add their blocks, the venue will transform into an impressive representation of the game environment—perfect for capturing memorable family photos during the Golden Week.

- Dates: May 2nd (Saturday) from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM & May 3rd (Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Participation Fee: 1,500 JPY (cash only)
- Duration: 30 to 45 minutes
- Capacity: Limited to 15 participants per session

Spaces are limited for the lectures, so early registration is encouraged. Interested parties can sign up through the official Pendemy website or LINE account.

Free Play Event: May 4-6 (No Reservation Needed)

• - Dates: May 4th to 6th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last day ending at 4:00 PM)
• - Participation Fee: 1,000 JPY for up to 2 hours (cash only); block crafting available for an additional 1,500 JPY.
• - Activities: Free play and exploration in the exhibited space. Attendees can also participate in crafting their original blocks if desired.
