FOTON Motor's Global Partner Conference 2026 Held in Beijing

On November 9, 2025, FOTON Motor hosted its 2026 Global Partners Conference in Beijing under the theme "Towards Excellence." This important gathering attracted over 2,000 participants from more than 140 countries, including prominent figures such as FOTON Chairman Chang Rui and CEO Wu Xibin. The event emphasized FOTON’s strategic update and its vision to become a global leader in commercial vehicles.

The conference took place at a critical time as the Chinese automotive industry experiences rapid developments driven by industrial intelligence, digitization, and connectivity. New energy vehicles (NEVs) and smart driving are emerging as key competitive advantages for the automotive sector in China, and FOTON is determined to leverage these advancements on the international stage.

During the conference, Chang Rui introduced FOTON’s Global Strategy Report, highlighting ambitions for 2030: over 50% of their products will consist of NEVs, international sales exceeding 300,000 units, and establishing the company as a global commercial vehicle leader with top-tier design, manufacturing processes, and quality experiences.

FOTON plans to accelerate its industrial investments overseas, intending to build more than ten manufacturing bases in regions including Thailand, Indonesia, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Europe within the next five years. The company aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem covering spare parts, used vehicles, fleet management, and related services. By optimizing its product range and promoting synergies between direct sales and distribution channels, FOTON aims to enhance its competitiveness and customer satisfaction.

The conference also addressed FOTON’s commitment to deepening regional cooperation and expanding into emerging markets. Brazil and South Africa serve as crucial strategic pillars for FOTON's global expansion. Attendees included Victor Queiroz, the Principal Representative of ApexBrasil for the Asia-Pacific Region, and Mogamat Mahdi Basadien, South Africa's interim Chargé d'Affaires in Beijing. Both representatives voiced strong support for FOTON’s growing collaboration and investments in their regions.

Queiroz highlighted FOTON’s achievements in Brazil, particularly the local production success of the new light truck "ALL-New Aumark". This milestone underscores a significant advancement for the localization of Chinese commercial vehicle brands in Brazil. Meanwhile, Basadien remarked that FOTON's assembly plant in South Africa represents one of the most significant automotive investment projects in nearly 40 years, reflecting the strengthening economic ties between China and South Africa.

FOTON is not just expanding its manufacturing capabilities but also focusing on innovation. Executive Vice President Lu Zhenghua underlined the need to align with global trading trends. FOTON is strategically positioned to enhance its technological capabilities, investing in pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen technologies. With in-house developed systems like the IECO three-in-one, FOTON has achieved remarkable efficiencies in electric motors, marking a step towards a sustainable future in vehicle manufacturing.

Additionally, FOTON’s post-sales ecosystem strategy is creating competitive advantages by harnessing the rapid growth of the post-sales sector in China. This focus on digital solutions is improving operational efficiency and reducing accident risks for users.

Through partnerships and continued innovation, FOTON aims to solidify its reputation as a world-class commercial vehicle enterprise. Fu Jun, Vice President of FOTON and President of FOTON International, detailed plans to sell 200,000 units internationally by 2026, marking ambitious growth in heavy truck sales and bus segments. The company recognizes outstanding partners with awards, showcasing their contributions to FOTON’s global development.

As a leader in the commercial vehicle industry, FOTON is set to transform its vision into reality, promising energy-efficient, intelligent, and safer solutions for users worldwide. Moving forward, FOTON is committed to further fortifying its international position while fostering sustainable development in the global logistics landscape.
