The VALORANT Champions Tour CN (VCT CN) launched its new season with great anticipation in Shanghai, starting on January 11th, 2025. This prestigious tournament, known as the epitome of VALORANT esports in China, is being expertly hosted by TJ Sports and organized by Hero Esports, which is recognized as Asia’s largest gaming company.

The competition is taking place in the iconic VCT CN Arena located along The Bund, a renowned historical district in Shanghai known for its picturesque waterfront. With 12 formidable teams set to clash over three weeks from January 11 to January 25, the opening weekend saw a significant turnout of passionate fans eager to witness the high-stakes matches.

The VCT attracts the best VALORANT teams globally, with 48 elite squads vying for the title of World Champion. The tournament is categorized into four competitive regions, which include VCT CN, VCT EMEA, VCT Pacific, and VCT Americas. This year’s kickoff serves as a launching pad for the 2025 VCT CN League, laying the groundwork for the competitive landscape ahead.

Additionally, teams participating in this tournament have the opportunity to accumulate points that will qualify them for the highly anticipated VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 slated for February. The championship title will later be contested at the grand finale event, Champions Paris, in October, following an intense series of preceding VCT tournaments.
