Molly Tuttle Collaborates with Martin Guitar to Unveil Unique Signature Models at NAMM 2026

Introducing the New Signature Models by Molly Tuttle and Martin Guitar

At the 2026 NAMM Show, C. F. Martin & Co.® proudly presented two brand new signature guitar models created in collaboration with the acclaimed GRAMMY®-winning guitarist, Molly Tuttle. The D-18 Molly Tuttle and D-X2E Molly Tuttle embody both Tuttle’s distinctive musical style and the high-quality craftsmanship that Martin guitars are renowned for.

A Dream Realized

For Molly Tuttle, working with Martin Guitar is akin to a lifelong dream coming to fruition. From her early days learning to play guitar, the image of wielding a Martin has always been a part of her journey. “I’ve always dreamed of playing Martin guitars ever since I started playing the guitar,” she shares. “Seeing my name on this Martin guitar and having a hand in designing it has been a significant milestone for me.”

D-18 Molly Tuttle

The D-18 Molly Tuttle is a beautiful homage to her treasured 1943 D-18 guitar. With features like a 1 11/16” nut width, rear-shifted scalloped bracing, a vintage neck profile reminiscent of the 1940s, and her signature moon phase fingerboard inlays, this model reflects Tuttle's preferences while ensuring top-notch sound quality. Molly is particularly fond of the classic D-18 sound, stating, “It has that classic D-18 sound... wonderful for studio use as the notes are so clear.” Its vintage sunburst finish, silver Martin script logo, and elegantly styled oval tuner buttons contribute to a rich aesthetic that matches its tonal qualities.

D-X2E Molly Tuttle

The D-X2E Molly Tuttle brings innovation to the X Series models. It is the first to feature a 1940s-style neck shape along with the comfortable 1 11/16” nut width, characterized by a V-shaped profile that Molly finds easy to play. Constructed with a solid spruce sunburst top, durable figured mahogany HPL, and equipped with Martin E1 electronics, this model perfectly balances tone, reliability, and accessibility. “You could pick this up and play a gig that very day,” she notes, emphasizing its practicality for performing artists.

Symbolic Inlays

A special touch for both models is the inclusion of moon-phase inlays. For Molly, these details carry significant meaning; “The moon represents creativity, inspiration, and your subconscious,” she illustrates. She hopes these elements will inspire players to discover new ideas in their own music. “I hope you pick one up and love playing it. I hope they unlock some new ideas in your playing.”

Availability

Before their official launch at the NAMM Show, both the D-18 Molly Tuttle and the D-X2E Molly Tuttle will become available online and through authorized Martin dealers. Additionally, fans can purchase the Molly Tuttle Signature Strap, a stylish black vegan leather strap embossed in silver foil featuring her moon-phase design, enhancing the overall recital experience.
