Are you ready for a unique blend of chills and laughter? The upcoming event titled "Laughable and Unlaughable Haunted Properties" offers participants an immersive experience into the world of haunted real estate. Organized by the film promotion department of Shochiku, the event coincides with the release of the movie "Gakkou no Akuma: Zoku Kowai Madori". This innovative event invites you to step into the shoes of a property investigator and unravel the mysteries hidden within a centenarian Japanese house located in the heart of Shibuya.

A Venue with a Story

This historic house, almost 100 years old, has been the site of strange occurrences. Investigators have reported bizarre noises and phenomena that change drastically between day and night. During the day, a humorously eerie atmosphere prevails, while at night, there's a distinctly chilling vibe that will send shivers down your spine. As investigators, your task is to explore the house for clues left behind by its former residents and to discover the truth about what has transpired here.

An Invitation to Join

Masatoba from Shochiku’s film promotion department personally kickstarted this project, driven by a fascination for haunted properties. This event is designed for a broad audience, targeting those who wish to explore the lighter, comedic aspects of hauntings as well as those who are in search of a genuinely scary experience. With two distinct sessions, participants can choose from:

• - Day Sessions - Experience an atmosphere of laughter and light-hearted spookiness, perfect for families or casual explorers.
• - Night Sessions - Brace yourself for a truly frightening adventure that delves deeper into the house’s dark past.

Explore and Investigate

As an appointed investigator, you will roam through the property, guided by peculiar sounds and voices transmitted through headphones. Each corner may reveal remnants left by previous inhabitants, adding to the eerie atmosphere. Use your senses and deductive reasoning to piece together the stories behind the strange incidents and uncover the secrets that have remained hidden for so long.

Event Details

The event will take place at 1-26-32 Higashi, Shibuya, Tokyo, just a 12-minute walk from Shibuya Station. The haunted property investigation will run from July 26 to August 17, 2025, with different starting times:

• - Laughable Experience (Day): The first session begins at 10:30 AM, with the last session starting at 5:15 PM.
• - Unlaughable Experience (Night): The first session starts at 6:30 PM, and the final session kicks off at 8:45 PM.

Each session lasts for 60 minutes and is limited to four participants. Be sure to arrive five minutes early for check-in!

Ticket Information

Tickets for the daytime sessions are priced at ¥3,500 on weekdays and ¥4,000 on weekends and holidays. For the nighttime sessions, the prices are ¥3,700 on weekdays and ¥4,200 on weekends and holidays. Tickets will be available from July 8 at 6:00 PM via ePlus.
