A New Chapter for Vaco Holdings
On February 27, 2025, Vaco Holdings made a significant leadership change by promoting Margaret Lilani to the role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Known for her dynamic leadership, Margaret brings almost two decades of experience in global talent and human capital to this vital position. As CRO, she will spearhead a unified revenue growth strategy that encompasses all of the firm's functions.
Vaco Holdings is a major player in the professional services sector, offering integrated solutions in consulting, managed services, and talent solutions. By elevating Margaret to the role of CRO, the organization not only recognizes her contributions but also sets the stage for sustained revenue growth and innovation across its global operations.
In her new role, Margaret will oversee the Global Revenue Office, managing enterprise sales and critical business development initiatives. Additionally, she will continue her oversight of global operations, focusing on aligning technology and innovative approaches with the firm’s key service offerings. Steve Kass, Chief Operating Officer at Vaco Holdings, stated that Margaret's appointment underscores her key role in optimizing delivery processes across international markets since her arrival.
Margaret joined Vaco in September 2024, initially serving as the Senior Vice President of Global Delivery. In her short tenure, she quickly fortified the company's capacity in international delivery, especially in Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Latin America (LATAM) markets. Through her dedication, she facilitated lasting relationships with both teams and clients, ultimately refining the company’s go-to-market strategy —an essential component for scalability, consistency, and enhanced client experiences.
Her background as a global operations expert and former lawyer equips her with a unique perspective. Before her time at Vaco, Margaret was Vice President II of Talent Solutions at Upwork, where she successfully launched proprietary talent products, significantly driving growth across various service lines, including consulting and employer of record (EOR) services.
Margaret expressed her enthusiasm for this new challenge: "What excites me most about this role is the opportunity to combine my experience as head of global delivery with a cohesive go-to-market strategy. Vaco's global capabilities—from top-tier talent to technology enablement to product innovation—create an incredible opportunity to lead and transform the industry. I am eager to leverage our expertise in consulting, talent solutions, and managed services to drive dynamic growth and expand our global impact."
Vaco Holdings stands out as a global professional services organization with a reach that includes vital functional areas such as accounting advisory, financial transformation, and artificial intelligence—a testament to the broad spectrum of expertise housed within the firm. With nearly 10,000 employees spread across more than 45 offices globally, Vaco actively partners with organizations to foster growth, tackle challenges, and pursue new opportunities by addressing a myriad of strategic and operational needs with agility and intention.
As Vaco continues to evolve and adapt to the global landscape, Margaret’s leadership as Chief Revenue Officer marks a pivotal moment in the firm’s journey's ongoing narrative. Her experience and vision promise to not only further Vaco's mission but also enhance the quality and effectiveness of its service offerings worldwide.
