Expansion of Aburasoba's Hybrid Stores Accelerates with 20 Locations by May 2026

Aburasoba Sohonten: A Delicious Hybrid Experience

Garden Co., Ltd., the management company of Aburasoba Sohonten, recently announced an exciting expansion plan for 2026. Starting in May, this innovative brand will gradually renew and open 17 locations, working towards a total of 20 stores.

The initial momentum is evident as three locations successfully reopened in April, featuring a unique hybrid format that combines Aburasoba with existing Ichikakuya stores. This strategy aims to cater to a variety of dining occasions, allowing customers to enjoy Aburasoba whether for lunch, after work, during late-night snacking, or post-party meals.

The new Aburasoba outlets will be strategically located near bustling stations and districts, such as Yurakucho, Shinagawa, Omiya, Asakusa, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Chiba, Tsudanuma, and Nishifunabashi. This accessibility ensures that even more customers can indulge in the deliciousness of Aburasoba.

What is Aburasoba?

Aburasoba focuses on flavorful thick noodles prepared with a special sauce that highlights rich flavors without the heaviness often associated with ramen. Diners can customize their dishes with various toppings and condiments, ensuring every visit is a new culinary adventure. Some popular menu items include:

  • - Aburasoba: A signature dish featuring chewy, thick noodles tossed with a uniquely crafted sauce, providing a healthy yet filling meal option. Pricing starts at ¥810.
  • - Korean Nori with Onsen Egg Aburasoba: A new topping that combines the sweetness and saltiness of Korean seaweed with a soft-boiled egg, resulting in a milder yet addictive flavor. Available starting at ¥919.

Enhancing the Customer Experience

With the upcoming renovations, customers can look forward to an enhanced menu featuring new toppings such as spicy sauce, soft-boiled eggs, fried onions, and more. Additionally, four new seasonings will be introduced, including Cajun spice, curry powder, fish powder, and aonori (green seaweed).

Ichikakuya – The Parent Brand

Ichikakuya, known for serving rich and creamy Yokohama-style ramen, is a staple in the Japanese food landscape. With a commitment to high-quality ingredients and flavors, Ichikakuya has expanded to over 100 locations across Japan.

Company Background

Garden Co., Ltd. is committed to creating spaces that make people happy and healthy. Since its founding in December 2015, the company has successfully revived numerous businesses through mergers and acquisitions, and today operates various brands, including Yamashita Honki Udon and several others. The company aims to strategically expand its brand presence in prime locations, further increasing the convenience for a growing customer base.

As we look ahead to May 2026, the expansion of Aburasoba Sohonten signals an exciting evolution in flavorful dining experiences, bringing beloved Japanese dishes to more people than ever before.
