The phenomenon burst onto the scene with great vigor, thanks to social media, which facilitated cultural exchanges and gave rise to unique dance styles. Following its launch in November 2024, DANCEALIVE SENEGAL quickly garnered national attention, even capturing the interest of Senegal's state television. The upcoming event will showcase four exceptional dancers representing both the Senegal and Ghana competitions, where they will impress the audience with their extraordinary skills and passion.

What is DANCEALIVE?

Launched as DANCE@LIVE in 2005, this competitive street dance battle has grown into the world's largest 1-on-1 dance contest. Dancers engage in spontaneous dance-offs, moving one after the other to music selected by a DJ known only to them. The winner is determined by who can secure the most votes from judges based on their performance. Participants compete across six dance styles, allowing for robust representation of various techniques including House, Breaking, Hip-Hop, All Styles, and Popping, alongside a separate category for kids.

With qualifying events held nationwide, dancers from all regions will vie for a spot in the grand final, wrapping up another exciting year in dance at DANCEALIVE.
