Operating out of Charlotte, North Carolina, Tom is set to enhance C&K Paving's presence in the commercial paving sector, leveraging his extensive background in the industry. With more than two decades of experience in paving and construction, Tom offers a wealth of knowledge that will be instrumental in expanding the company's capabilities across the United States.
Tom O'Toole's career trajectory is both inspiring and diverse. Before finding his niche in the paving industry, he served in the military, followed by a transition into commercial diving and general contracting. His journey led him to specialize in asphalt and concrete—a decision that has since defined his professional life. Over the past 13 years, Tom has cultivated strong, trusting relationships with clients, becoming well-known for his straightforward and solution-oriented consulting approach.
In his new role at C&K Paving, Tom will oversee commercial projects throughout the Lower 48 states, with an emphasis on large-scale retail and property management sectors. His primary goal is to elevate the company's parking lot maintenance services while nurturing existing client relationships. As a general contractor and project manager, Tom is well-equipped to offer comprehensive support, managing all aspects of project execution from site evaluation and design to construction and final inspections.
Tom holds several notable certifications that underscore his expertise and commitment to the industry. He is a Certified Restaurant Facility Professional (CRFP) under the Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA) and serves as an ADA Coordinator through the ADA Coordinator Training Certificate Program, developed in partnership with the University of Missouri and the Great Plains ADA Center. These qualifications enable him to assist clients with ADA compliance issues, audits, and violation notices, ensuring they meet mandated standards.
Moreover, Tom is proficient in conducting Pavement Condition Index (PCI) assessments—a tool widely recognized for its accuracy and reliability, even adopted by NATO and the U.S. military for forecasting and budgeting in property management. His ability to provide unbiased and cost-effective recommendations reflects his dedication to the long-term success of his clients, aligning with C&K Paving’s core values of integrity, relationship-building, and customer-centric service.
