Explore the Future of XR at XR Kaigi 2025
The highly anticipated XR Kaigi 2025, slated for December 2-3, 2025, at Tokyo Port City Takeshiba, is set to showcase numerous innovations in Extended Reality (XR) technology. Organized by Exceed Co., a subsidiary of Taiyo Holdings, the conference will highlight the latest developments in XR solutions, providing attendees with hands-on experiences. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with various technologies, including the cutting-edge autostereoscopic display, the "Looking Glass," and the updated mixed-reality support system, "XVision Support."
Highlights of the Exhibition
1. Looking Glass Display and LKG3DViewer
The centerpiece of Exceed's exhibition will be the "Looking Glass" autostereoscopic display, which allows users to view three-dimensional images without the need for headgear. The latest models showcased will be the 16-inch and 27-inch versions released this year.
During the exhibition, visitors can expect demonstrations illustrating potential applications of the Looking Glass in diverse fields, including product promotion, cultural heritage, museum exhibitions, and educational content. The event will also feature the latest version of the proprietary software, "LKG3DViewer," which allows intuitive control of 3D models directly from an iPad. With this enhanced functionality, users can easily load, display, rotate, and zoom in on models, providing a seamless interactive experience.
In addition, a selection of demo applications will display the wide-ranging solutions that Exceed provides for the Looking Glass. Attendees can also glimpse some of the upcoming devices from Looking Glass Factory, including the anticipated "Hololuminescent™ Display (HLD)" series, expected to launch in December 2025.
2. MR Remote Support System: XVision Support
The updated remote support system, "XVision Support," utilizing mixed-reality technology, will also be showcased. This cloud-based system enables real-time collaboration between on-site workers equipped with MR devices and remote support personnel. Visitors can walk through the operational flow and explore various application scenarios firsthand. This system provides an experience akin to working side by side, as remote assistants share visual aids and documents seamlessly with field operators.
