Stegra Welcomes New Leadership as Board Transition Takes Place
On October 20, 2025, Stegra announced significant changes to its Board of Directors, marking a pivotal moment for the company as it advances its ambitious projects in the green steel sector. In a strategic shift, current Board Director Shaun Kingsbury has been appointed the new Chairman of the Board, succeeding Harald Mix, who will remain on the board as an active member.
New Faces on the Board
Kingsbury's elevation to the role of Chairman is coupled with the nomination of Aidan de Brunner and Emmanuel Rodriguez as new Board Directors. This change comes as Annica Bresky and Susanna Campbell have chosen to step down, advocating for a fresh set of competencies to better align with the company's evolving needs. As Kingsbury expressed, "I welcome Aidan de Brunner and Emmanuel Rodriguez to the Board. Both bring significant expertise and a strong track record of execution to our leadership team."
Aidan de Brunner
Aidan de Brunner is no stranger to governance, possessing over 25 years of management and consultancy experience. He is recognized for his previous roles involving major UK corporations such as Thames Water and Videndum. With a comprehensive background in finance and investment, de Brunner’s expertise in capital-intensive businesses is expected to be invaluable, especially as Stegra navigates the construction of its groundbreaking green-steel facility in Boden.
Emmanuel Rodriguez
Bringing more than 25 years of experience in the industrial sectors, Emmanuel Rodriguez complements the Board with his extensive background in decarbonization and industry innovation. Previously serving as Vice President and Head of Decarbonization Partnerships at ArcelorMittal, Rodriguez has championed initiatives promoting circular economy principles. His leadership in sustainability aligns perfectly with Stegra’s mission to develop sustainable industrial practices, and his educational credentials include master’s degrees in Physics and Finance.
Acknowledging Past Contributions
Kingsbury has also expressed gratitude towards Harald Mix for his leadership over the past five years. "I would like to sincerely thank our co-founder Harald Mix for his exceptional leadership as Chairman, and I look forward to our continued collaboration," he stated. Mix’s insight and experience will continue to benefit Stegra as he transitions to his role as Board Director.
The new board composition following the latest changes will consist of:
- - Aidan de Brunner
- - Pierre Etienne Franc
- - Henrik Henriksson
- - Klas Johansson
- - Shaun Kingsbury (Chairman)
- - Carl-Erik Lagercrantz
- - Matthew Lim

With the departure of seasoned board members Bresky and Campbell, Kingsbury also took a moment to express appreciation for their contributions, stating, "On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Annica Bresky and Susanna Campbell for their dedicated service."
