PTC Japan Expands Support for Robotics Sports Festival 2026

PTC Japan, a prominent technology company based in Chuo, Tokyo, has announced its sponsorship of the 2nd Robotics Sports Festival in Adachi. This exciting event will take place on September 22-23, 2026, at Galaxy City in Adachi, Tokyo. Building on the success of the first festival last year, PTC's involvement illustrates its commitment to developing future talent in manufacturing and engineering.

The Robotics Sports Festival is designed as an interactive learning experience where children can engage in robot design, production, and programming. This year's event is anticipated to see participation increase significantly from 72 participants in the inaugural event to around 150. Additionally, the competitions have expanded from one to four. Participants will gain hands-on experience in robot development and competition strategy, enhancing their creative problem-solving and collaborative skills.

Supporting Future Engineers with Continuous Learning

PTC believes that fostering a new generation of manufacturing talent requires ongoing educational opportunities rather than one-off experiences. Through continued support of the Robotics Sports Festival, PTC aims to create an environment where young participants can repeatedly engage in designing, creating, and challenging themselves. The company also emphasizes cooperation with local communities and educational institutions, ensuring long-term dedication to developing future human resources.

A New Model for STEAM Education in Japan

The Robotics Sports Festival stands out as a new initiative that merges STEAM education with practical manufacturing experiences. PTC hopes that the success of this festival in Adachi will encourage similar events in more regions across Japan, thereby creating opportunities for children nationwide to explore design, production, and programming. PTC is committed to contributing to a sustainable learning ecosystem that connects communities, educational institutions, and businesses for nurturing the engineers and innovators of tomorrow.

In the words of Tomonobu Kamiya, the executive officer of PTC Japan, "During the first festival, many children experienced the joy of creating robots and the fun of collaboration. I’m incredibly pleased to see this year’s event exceed last year's participants and competitions. PTC believes that continuous learning and challenging experiences are crucial for nurturing future talent in manufacturing. We will support the Robotics Sports Festival to help children develop their ability to bring ideas to life and grow into future engineers and innovators."
