Annual Dance Party to End ALZ
The much-anticipated eighth annual Dance Party to End ALZ is set to captivate attendees on Sunday, September 13, at AVALON Hollywood. This celebratory event will be hosted by Hallmark luminaries Ashley Williams and Nikki DeLoach, uniting celebrities, advocates, and supporters for an unforgettable evening dedicated to raising funds for the Alzheimer's Association's research grant program.
This remarkable initiative was established by Kimberly Williams-Paisley in tribute to her mother, shedding light on her family's poignant journey with Alzheimer's disease. Over the years, this signature fundraiser has evolved into a cherished occasion aimed at advancing scientific breakthroughs and cultivating hope for the millions whose lives are touched by dementia.
This year’s festivities will take on a whimsical Pajama Party theme, with beloved personalities Jonathan Bennett and Melissa Peterman serving as emcees. Attendees can look forward to an evening filled with vibrant musical performances, special celebrity appearances, lively dancing, engaging auctions, and powerful moments that underscore the critical need for ongoing Alzheimer’s and dementia research.
Both Williams and DeLoach share a deep personal connection to the cause, having each lost a parent to dementia. They expressed their sentiment, stating, "Every year, this event reminds us of the incredible power of community. So many families, including our own, have been impacted by Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. The Dance Party to End ALZ offers us a platform to honor our loved ones while generating essential funds for groundbreaking research that leads us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s."
The musical lineup features an array of talented performers such as Caleb Polaha, Eliza Pryor, Greg Laswell, Holly Robinson Peete, Karen David, and many more, ensuring a night of entertainment underpinned by a meaningful cause. Guests of the pajama-themed party are encouraged to come dressed in their finest sleepwear, complete with slippers and sleep masks, making for a cozy yet impactful gathering.
Throughout the event, attendees will find opportunities to support the Alzheimer’s Association through various fundraising activities, all while gaining insight into the organization’s ongoing mission to enhance research, improve care, and provide vital support services to families confronted with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
The organizing committee is composed of notable figures including Ashley Williams—actor, director, and writer—alongside Nikki DeLoach, Annie Howell (Chief Communications Officer of Hallmark Media), and Shaina Julian (Director of Talent Relations and Events at Hallmark Media). Featured sponsors for the event include Hallmark Media and notable personalities like Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Brad Paisley.
All funds raised during the Dance Party to End ALZ contribute to the Alzheimer’s Association’s research grant program, which plays a crucial role in investing in innovative projects focused on the prevention, treatment, and eventual cure for Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases. Since its inception, the Dance Party has raised over $2 million, amplifying the call for revolutionary scientific discoveries in this vital area of health.
