Unraveling the Comedic Mystery of Kyuken Detective Agency's New Release
Mynavi Publishing is set to launch a fascinating new book titled "Kyuken Detective Agency’s Mystery Collection" on March 16, 2026. In this tale, readers will cross paths with quirky sculptures and a greedy onmyoji detective, promising a unique blend of comedy and mystery.
Synopsis
The story revolves around the enigmatic creations of sculptor Genichiro Amane, who used a special kind of stone in his artwork. These stones possess the ability to respond to their owners’ desires, creating a fantastical yet complex situation. However, the stones can also harbor a darker side, posing threats if they end up in the wrong hands.
The plot thickens when the protagonist, Riko, discovers a hidden will on her grandfather's first death anniversary. The will states that all of his artworks will be handed over to Haruma Kyuken, a mix of a detective and an onmyoji. Riko finds herself in disbelief at the implication of her grandfather’s wishes:
"You mean to say he gave all his artworks away to someone else?"
Haruma's greedy and somewhat selfish disposition is soon revealed:
"I was planning to hoard all of Genichiro's prized creations for myself!"
Thus begins a comedic escapade led by Riko, a down-on-her-luck office worker, and Haruma, the insatiably curious onmyoji.
