FIFAe World Cup 2026 Challenger Series: Join the Battle for National Glory

The stage is set as KONAMI announces the launch of the FIFAe World Cup 2026 Challenger Series, which began on February 12th. This competition, featuring eFootball, is the pathway to the official eSports world tournament, the FIFAe World Cup 2026. After attracting approximately 16.5 million participants last year, this year's Challenger Series promises even more excitement with a record participation.

More than 110 FIFA member countries and regions are now registered, including newcomers such as Croatia, Kenya, and Tunisia. The tournament will be divided into two categories: the console division and the mobile division, both transitioning to a 2vs2 format, enhancing the competitive edge of this year’s events and allowing one more representative player per country.

The Challenger Series will run until February 22nd, consisting of three rounds in total. Contestants from Japan can engage in AI battles, PVP matches, and ranking events to secure their spots. The top two participants from each division, alongside their selected partners, will earn their right to represent Team Japan.

Following the selection of representative players by national soccer federations, qualifying tournaments will be held among the respective nations. The final lineup for the FIFAe World Cup 2026 featuring eFootball will be decided in the fall of 2026.

For participants eager to engage in this fierce national competition, more details regarding regulations, and information about subsequent competitions can be found on the official websites of FIFA.GG and eFootball. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of this exciting journey!
