A Journey Through Van Gogh: Upcoming Talk Event
On August 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the P.O. Minami-Aoyama Hall in the Pola Aoyama Building will host a thought-provoking talk event titled
"Traveling with Van Gogh." This event is organized by PO Real Estate Co., Ltd., in cooperation with the Pola Museum, which is renowned for housing the most extensive collection of Van Gogh's oil paintings in Japan.
As part of the first exhibition dedicated to Van Gogh,
"Van Gogh Impact: Generating Passion," which showcases three of the artist's domestic works, attendees will hear from two distinguished speakers.
Ayano Hayashi, a curator and art writer, will share her insights on Van Gogh's relationship with food, derived from her research in collaboration with the museum's exhibition restaurant menu. Alongside her,
Koji Kudo, the museum's curator and exhibition director, will delve into Van Gogh's vibrant yet tumultuous life, the radiance of his artworks, and the lasting impact he has had on future generations.
Excitingly, 2025 will see a plethora of major exhibitions highlighting Van Gogh, including
"Van Gogh: The Family-Connected Dreams of the Artist" at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and
"The Great Van Gogh: Café Terrace at Night" at the Ueno Royal Museum. This multitude of events presents a unique chance to immerse yourself in the world of Van Gogh right in Aoyama. We warmly invite everyone to participate.
