Hanon Systems at AAPEX 2025
Hanon Systems, a prominent player in the automotive thermal management sector and a subsidiary of Hankook & Company Group, is gearing up for its debut exhibition at AAPEX 2025, taking place from November 4 to 6 in Las Vegas. This event is particularly noteworthy as it marks Hanon Systems' first joint showcase alongside its affiliates within the Hankook umbrella, including Hankook Tire and Hankook’s ES Division. The goal? To present integrated solutions aimed at facilitating electrified and sustainable mobility.
AAPEX: A Platform for Innovation
AAPEX (Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo) is recognized as North America's premier automotive aftermarket exhibition, drawing attention from industry leaders and enthusiasts alike. Hanon Systems aims to leverage this prestigious platform to demonstrate its latest innovations in thermal management technology, thereby solidifying its reputation as a key contributor to automotive advancements. By aligning with other Hankook Group entities, Hanon Systems seeks to enhance brand visibility and foster strategic alliances in both North and Latin American markets.
The event will be attended by Hanon Systems Vice Chairman and CEO, Soo-Il Lee, who will engage with global partners and customers, exploring future collaboration opportunities. The company's exhibition space will comprise six distinct zones, focusing on various aspects such as HVAC systems, compressors, coolant and refrigerant modules, heat exchangers, electronic fluid pressure products, and award-winning technologies recognized by the PACE awards.
Showcasing Innovative Technologies
At the entrance of the booth, visitors will find a vehicle mock-up that highlights the teamwork within the Hankook family, featuring Hanon Systems' cutting-edge 4th-generation heat pump system. This system, first utilized in the Kia EV3, stands out due to its groundbreaking parallel heat-source recovery structure, which efficiently uses ambient air and waste heat from the vehicle's motor and battery to enhance cabin comfort while improving battery thermal efficiency. This innovation not only prolongs the electric vehicle's driving range but also optimizes performance through a sophisticated controller that harmonizes hardware and software management of the thermal system.
Additionally, the display will feature eco-friendly components designed for electric vehicles, such as Hanon Systems' R744-based electric compressor and R290 refrigerant modules. The R744 electric compressor has recently achieved the impressive production milestone of one million units for the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform.
In a dedicated PACE Award zone, attendees can experience the company’s award-winning visible-light LED photocatalyst HVAC technology, which significantly enhances air quality within vehicles through advanced sterilization and deodorization techniques. With an impressive sterilization efficiency of 98.5% and deodorization rate of 97.5%, this technology operates without generating electromagnetic interference, offering semi-permanent durability compared to conventional alternatives.
Driving the Future of Mobility
Vice Chairman and CEO, Soo-Il Lee, emphasized the innovation-centric focus of AAPEX, stating, “Although AAPEX primarily concentrates on the aftermarket, it serves as a vital convergence point for ideas and collaboration throughout the mobility sector. Our participation at this exhibition will underscore the technologies that are facilitating the transition toward sustainable mobility and demonstrate the strength of our collective integration within the Hankook & Company Group.”
All attendees are encouraged to visit the Hanon Systems booth (A30021, level 2, Venetian Expo) during AAPEX 2025. With over 20,000 employees and 50 manufacturing sites across 21 countries, Hanon Systems continues to reinforce its position as a global leader in thermal management solutions.
