Tozai New Art, a newly established auction house based in Chuo, Tokyo, is set to commemorate its founding by hosting its first public auction on
November 8, 2025. This event promises an exceptional collection of art, with an estimated total value exceeding 400 million yen. The auction will feature approximately
373 lots, including masterpieces from both Japanese and international artists, as well as luxury brand items.
Among the highlighted lots are significant historical works, such as Hokusai's exquisite painting "
Snow-Beauty in the Snow – Commentary by Shokusanjin" and the original manuscript of Kobayashi Issa's famous work "
Nanaban Diary." Notably, this auction includes a variety of contemporary pieces, such as Yayoi Kusama's original paintings and more than eight-meter-long large-scale works by Akiyoshi Shirakawa.
