Adelance's Studio AD Collaborates on Wig Design for Musical Itaewon Class

Adelance Takes Center Stage with 'Itaewon Class'

Adelance, a prominent player in the wellness sector focusing on hair, beauty, health, and medical advancements, is proud to showcase its expertise through the cultural entertainment division, Studio AD. This talented team is set to provide wig production and hairstyling support for the highly anticipated musical adaptation of "Itaewon Class," produced by Toho. The musical will run from June 9 to June 30, 2025, at the Tokyo Building Brillia Hall, located in Toshima City, Tokyo.

Studio AD's contribution is not just about aesthetics; the wigs are meticulously designed considering the characters’ personalities and the storyline of the musical. The actors portraying Jo Iso, including renowned performers Sora Wakagi and Sara, will wear custom-made wigs created by the talented team at Studio AD. The company will also be providing on-site hairstyling services throughout the performance run.

To ensure that the wigs meet the demands of live theater, they are constructed from breathable and stretchy materials, customized for the unique head sizes of each cast member. This attention to detail allows performers to comfortably wear them without discomfort, making each wig a bespoke creation. The use of synthetic hair also guarantees durability and ease of maintenance, so the wigs can withstand the wear and tear of numerous performances without losing their charm.

Studio AD's mission is to advance high-quality stage artistry in Japan and internationally through the creation of functional yet artistic entertainment wigs. Their commitment to excellence promises that the wigs used in "Itaewon Class" will not only look stunning but will also perform beautifully throughout the production's run.

Collaborative Efforts Behind the Scenes

The hairstyling and wig planning for the musical is led by Miyuki Hayashi, an accomplished hairstylist who joined Adelance after extensive salon work. Hayashi has an impressive portfolio of stage and film work, having contributed to productions such as "Cain & Abel," "Lime Light," and many more. Her expertise ensures that the visual representation of each character aligns with their narrative arcs and personalities.
