Since the enforcement of the revised Power Harassment Prevention Act in 2020 for large companies (and in 2022 for small ones), organizations are required to establish clear anti-harassment policies, promote awareness internally, provide counseling services, and implement suitable responses to any incidents. While the rate of obvious harassment cases has decreased, the number of consultations related to power harassment due to differences in values and lack of awareness continues to rise.

Many current managers have honed their skills in challenging environments, which sometimes leads to overly strict guidance towards their subordinates. This event aims to reassess the present situation regarding harassment, clarify the backgrounds and challenges that lead to power harassment, and explore strategies for managing associated risks effectively.

About the Facilitator

Takao Maekawa, the representative director of FeelWorks, is an expert in human resource development and the proponent of “Superior Leadership®.” Born in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, he graduated from Osaka Prefectural University and Waseda University Business School. After leading editorial projects such as "Keiko to Manabu," "Employment Journal," and "Rikunabi" at Recruit, he founded FeelWorks in 2008, with the goal of contributing to a society that values and nurtures individuals. He has developed various training programs aimed at supporting over 500 companies. In addition to his role at FeelWorks, he serves as a part-time lecturer at Aoyama Gakuin University and holds several advisory positions across different organizations.
