Celebrate Local Flavors at the 3rd Annual Craft Beer & Yakiniku Festival

The 3rd Annual Craft Beer & Yakiniku Festival is set to take place on May 3rd in the beautiful surroundings of Tamabayama Village, known for its lush greenery and scenic landscapes. This event has become a staple during the Golden Week holiday in Japan, bringing together food lovers and beer enthusiasts alike.

Tamabayama Village's mayor, Yoshito Kinoshita, has announced a collaborative project with Yamap Co., Ltd., led by CEO Kiyotaka Haruyama, to initiate a crowdfunding campaign aimed at raising funds for this celebratory event. The crowdfunding, managed by Trust Bank, has set a goal of 1 million yen and will run until May 6, offering rewards such as participation tickets and local specialty products to supporters.

  • - Target Donation Amount: 1 million yen
  • - Fundraising Period: Until May 6, 2026 (29 days)

Savor Local Ingredients at the Festival

This festival, now in its third year, was conceived by Ryuichi Narusaka, the representative of Carnevale Co., Ltd., as a way to invigorate the village that has a small population of just about 500 people. Each participant will find everything they need on-site, including shichirin grills and fresh ingredients, making it easy to enjoy authentic Japanese barbecue without hassle. Guests can indulge in not only premium wagyu but also local game meat such as deer, complemented by wild vegetables and bamboo shoots harvested right from the village. Enjoying grilled meat outdoors, surrounded by nature, provides a delightful dining experience.

Ticket Options

Tickets for the event are available for reservation and include two main courses:
1. Tabayama Game Course (Deer loin & leg, domestic pork, domestic chicken, wild vegetables, bamboo shoots, and Korean seaweed - for two at 5,000 yen)
2. KINTAN Wagyu Course (Wagyu short rib, tenderloin, and misuji, wild vegetables, bamboo shoots, and Korean seaweed - for two at 10,000 yen)

Local Craft Beer to Accompany the Feast

Complementing the yakitori feast will be an impressive selection of local craft beers, brewed with the pure waters of the Tamagawa River. Attendees can enjoy beers from three local breweries: Wolves Brewing from Tamabayama, Vertere from Okutama, and Far Yeast Brewing from Kosuge Village. Sample unique flavors from each brewery, making this event a must for beer lovers.

A Rewarding Experience Through Crowdfunding

This unique crowdfunding initiative utilizes the “hometown tax” system, allowing contributors to select fun rewards alongside their donations. Any amount exceeding 2,000 yen qualifies for tax deductions or refunds, making it a practical way to enjoy the festival. Tickets to the event are available as a reward, allowing donors to experience the festival benefits directly. Additionally, supporters can choose local delicacies such as mushrooms and peaches from Yamanashi Prefecture as their reward.
