FUFUTIETIE's Unique Cultural Pop-Up Store in Asakusa
FUFUTIETIE JAPAN, a rapidly growing art figure brand originating from East Asia, is set to launch its
first-ever pop-up store in Asakusa on April 1, 2026. This limited-time event will be held at
Tokyo Rickshaw on Nakamise Street and promises an immersive experience that combines modern art with traditional cultural motifs.
About FUFUTIETIE
FUFUTIETIE specializes in reconstructing elements of East Asian culture, such as Buddhism, mythology, and the Chinese zodiac, into contemporary art figures. With an emphasis on values like “prayer” and “wish,” FUFUTIETIE invites individuals to engage with the unseen aspects of life through tangible art. The brand has seen significant success across major cities in East Asia, including Shanghai, Taipei, and Bangkok, where it has garnered a loyal following.
Previously, FUFUTIETIE has hosted pop-up events in cities like Yokohama and Osaka, and is currently drawing crowds in Kanazawa at Forus. The excitement surrounding these events has subsequently paved the way for the Asakusa pop-up.
A Unique Experience with Tokyo Rickshaw
One of the most exciting features of the Asakusa pop-up is the collaboration with
Tokyo Rickshaw. Visitors will have the chance to take a ride in specially designed rickshaws adorned with FUFUTIETIE visuals, turning every ride into a unique sightseeing experience. Those opting for the rickshaw service will also receive an
exclusive original sticker, only available during the event.
As part of this collaboration, the streets of Asakusa will come alive with the thematic elements of FUFUTIETIE. A specially wrapped rickshaw featuring the FUFUTIETIE branding will travel through Asakusa, enhancing the cultural experience for tourists and locals alike.
Additionally, select rickshaw pullers will don
exclusive collaboration happi coats, welcoming visitors while bringing the enchanting world of FUFUTIETIE to life.
Product Offerings
The pop-up store will feature four main series, each inspired by East Asian culture and spirituality, where everyday sentiments such as “prayer,” “wish,” and “thought” are reinterpreted in a modern context:
- - KOKOROBI (心灯): Symbolizing a guiding light amid doubts and anxieties, ideal for those seeking clarity.
- - GOEN (悟縁): Inspired by the Five Road Fortune God, this series aims to enhance prosperity, career success, and interpersonal relationships.
- - OMUSUBI (結日): A pairing of zodiac animals and guardian deities, representing protection against misfortune and blessings for good relationships.
- - KOMUSUBI (子結日): Small charms inspired by zodiac animals, designed to accompany users in their daily lives as tokens of good fortune.
