Free Online Excel Seminars for Beginners

Creek and River Company (C&R) invites individuals who are eager to dive into the world of Excel with two free online seminars titled "Learning Excel for Beginners Vol. 9/Vol. 10." These sessions cater to newcomers and will take place on September 3rd and September 17th, 2026.

Excel, a spreadsheet application by Microsoft, is widely used for creating tables, performing calculations, data analysis, and automating business processes. Understanding Excel is essential for various business scenarios today. C&R has curated this beginner-friendly seminar series to help individuals gain proficiency in Excel. Participants will engage in theoretical lectures during the first session and practical exercises in the follow-up session, covering a total of ten themes throughout this extensive 20-session series.

The upcoming sessions focus on improving work efficiency through the use of conditional statements and lookup functions within Excel. In Volume 9, attendees will learn about key functions widely used in the industry, such as the IF statement for conditional processing and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP for data retrieval. Additionally, they will explore how to utilize COUNTIF and SUMIF to aggregate data matching specific conditions. In Volume 10, practical exercises will enable participants to apply what they've learned to real-world business scenarios.

Volume 9: Conditional Statements and Lookup Functions (IF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) - Part 1

• - Understand how to express conditional statements using IF functions
• - Learn to retrieve data with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• - Aggregate data that meets certain criteria using COUNTIF and SUMIF

Volume 10: Conditional Statements and Lookup Functions (IF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) - Part 2

• - Engage in exercises to determine sales achievements using IF statements
• - Pull product names and prices from product codes through practice exercises
• - Use SUMIF to calculate total sales per representative in practical applications
