Wakaruku's Empowering Initiative



Wakaruku, headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, is proud to announce its acceptance as the contractor for the MAITSURU Project 2026 by Gunma Prefecture. This initiative is dedicated to supporting women by enhancing their digital skills and employment opportunities, commencing from August 2026.

Purpose of the MAITSURU Project


The MAITSURU Project is designed to assist women seeking employment, especially those transitioning from non-regular positions to formal employment. This comprehensive program offers both digital skill development and employment support, coordinated by the Gunma Prefecture's Department of Labor Policy. During this fiscal year, the initiative will provide career advancement training, digital skills courses, and employment matching support, connecting participants with local businesses.

Key Features of the Program


  • - Date: August 2026 to February 2027
  • - Hybrid Learning: Classes will include both face-to-face and online formats. Digital skills lectures will be available on a demand basis.
  • - Course Content:
- Career Advancement:
- Business fundamentals, career lectures (seven sessions), and role model exchange gatherings.
- Digital Skills (mandatory courses):
- Information security, AI fundamentals and practical applications, Excel basics and intermediate courses, along with design classes (using Canva).
- Optional courses are also available, such as advanced Excel (macros) and web design (Studio).
- Matching Support:
- Company information sessions and employment matching events.
  • - Target Group: Women residing in Gunma Prefecture who are job seekers or women in non-regular roles aiming for career advancement or transitions to regular employment.
  • - Capacity: Approximately 70 participants.
  • - Participation Fee: 16,500 JPY (including tax), covering required courses and matching support.

Supporting Women’s Employment in Gunma


Many local companies may face challenges such as maternity leave, retirements, or labor shortages. The MAITSURU Project addresses these issues by facilitating direct connections between local businesses and program participants, thereby promoting women's hiring and success in the workforce, free from recruitment agency fees.

As a participant, you will gain practical digital skills, from information security basics to advanced techniques in AI, Excel, and design.
