SpringGreen Participates in the 28th Annual Renewal & Remembrance Event
On July 15, 2024, the SpringGreen Franchise participated in the National Association of Landscape Professionals' (NALP) 28th annual Renewal & Remembrance event in Washington, D.C. This event is a vital initiative that unites landscape and lawn care experts from across the country to give back to their communities by enhancing the beauty of Arlington National Cemetery and its adjacent memorials.
SpringGreen, committed to community service, was duly honored to play an essential role in this year's event, which involved extensive landscaping efforts at both Arlington National Cemetery and the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. The dedicated volunteers undertook critical lawn care activities, including aeration, lime application, planting flowers and trees, and installing nearly 10,000 robust plants at the memorial, all performed in collaboration with the National Park Service.
Brad Johnson, President of SpringGreen, expressed the significance of participating in the Renewal & Remembrance event, stating, "This initiative is a meaningful way to honor our nation's heroes and support spaces that symbolize sacrifice and service. It resonates deeply with our values as a company and lets us contribute our time and expertise to a cause much greater than ourselves."
This event saw participation from various SpringGreen franchise owners, as well as support center team members, all joining hundreds of volunteers for a day of respect and remembrance. For many attendees, particularly those with personal military ties, Renewal & Remembrance has become an annual tradition with profound significance. Johnson further remarked, "Giving back through this event is a privilege we don't take lightly. It is an experience that leaves a permanent impression on us and highlights the power of community, connection, and service."
Participants engaged not only in physical labor but also in the opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans. This annual gathering serves as a reminder of the importance of remembrance and appreciation for those who have served the nation.
