Techstars Tokyo's Third Program Kicks Off with 12 Startups
Techstars, a world-class global accelerator, has recently announced the selection of 12 startups for its third acceleration program in Tokyo. This initiative is part of the 'Born Global' concept, which aims to promote startups capable of thriving on an international scale. By collaborating with various organizations, including the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Cabinet Office, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, Techstars is notably enhancing support for seed-stage startups in Japan.
Since its inception in 2006, Techstars has expanded its reach across approximately 30 cities worldwide, nurturing over 5,000 companies and creating 29 unicorns with a collective valuation of around $348 billion. With the 'Techstars Tokyo' program, the organization has established the only accelerator in Asia under its global framework. The selected startups will commence their acceleration journey starting August 17.
