Exciting New Discoveries in High-Grade Silver Resources at Sun Silver's Maverick Project

Sun Silver Unveils New High-Grade Silver Discoveries

Sun Silver Limited (ASX: SS1 | OTCQX: SSLVF) recently announced significant findings from its drilling operations at the Maverick Silver Project located in Nevada, USA. Not only did this round of exploration yield high-grade silver results, but it also confirmed the presence of extensive antimony mineralisation, highlighting the potential for resource growth in the area.

Drilling Results and Highlights

In the recent assessment, drill hole MR25-235 produced an impressive intercept of 98.3 meters at a grade of 120.3 g/t AgEq, which includes 65.7 g/t Ag and 0.67 g/t Au. Notably, this segment includes a remarkable 47.6 meters yielding 200.6 g/t AgEq, starting from 173.0 meters down. What is particularly exciting is that these results come from outside the current Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), with values reported as high as 811.7 g/t AgEq.

Moreover, MR25-235 revealed significant antimony zones throughout, including an 86.9-meter interval averaging 0.10% Sb, with peak assays reaching 1.23% Sb. These findings not only reinforce the company's geological models but also indicate a consistent distribution of high-grade mineralisation, further ratifying Sun Silver's extensive geological understanding and strategies.

Strategic Objectives and Future Plans

Andrew Dornan, Managing Director of Sun Silver, shared his enthusiasm, stating, "Our recent drilling has validated our expectations surrounding resource growth potential. The deep penetrate drilling confirms substantial zones of silver and gold mineralisation along with transformative antimony zones, indicating our project’s scale and multi-metal potential."

The 2026 drilling initiative is focused on several critical objectives, namely:
1. Resource Classification Upgrade: Conducting infill drilling to enhance geological confidence and transition existing resources to JORC Indicated classification.
2. Development Advancement: Collecting additional metallurgical cores to support further development studies and processing strategies.
3. Resource Growth: Targeting the north-west extension of identified high-grade mineralisation.

Each objective aims to enhance the overall viability of the Maverick Silver Project, dramatically improving resource estimates and encouraging further investments in the future.

A Glance at the Maverick Silver Project

The Maverick Silver Project is strategically situated only 85 km from the fully serviced mining town of Elko, Nevada, surrounded by multiple world-class gold and silver mining operations. Sun Silver currently boasts a JORC Inferred Mineral Resource of 237Mt grading 45.5 g/t Ag and 0.30 g/t Au which translates to a colossal 347.2Moz of contained silver and 2.25Moz of contained gold - equivalent to about 539Moz of silver equivalent.

The deposit’s ongoing exploration has underscored its open-ended potential along strike and depth, with significant drill intercepts lying beyond current resource constraints.

Conclusion

As Sun Silver continues to execute its strategic plans for the Maverick Project, ongoing developments underscore the potential for substantial resource growth and technical advancements, positioning the company for a noteworthy impact within the silver and gold sectors. The 2026 drilling outcomes proffer exciting insights into the Maverick Silver Project, promising a bright outlook for both the company and its stakeholders in the coming years.
