Special Summer Event: Cat Adoption Fair
On August 2nd, 2025, a unique event called "Wannyan Day" will take place at the Nishitokyo Furusato Adoption Center, organized by Peace Nyanko. This special summer event provides an opportunity for children to participate as staff at a cat adoption fair, allowing families to engage with rescued cats and learn about responsible pet ownership.
Every month, Peace Nyanko, a group dedicated to supporting the medical costs of rescue cats, holds adoption fairs. This time, they are leveraging the summer holidays to foster a connection between families and the reality of rescue cats, creating a chance for children to reflect on the significance of life and companionship. On July 31st, children will kick off their adventure by participating in a “Cat Rescue Experience” at the Funny Cat Cafe in Sayama City. They will gain hands-on experience caring for the cats and learn about their stories, setting the stage for their big day on August 2.
