Free STEM FEST in North Charleston
STEM South Carolina, in partnership with Clemson University, is hosting a free STEM FEST on April 5, 2025, from 9 AM to noon at R.B. Stall High School in North Charleston. This exciting event aims to ignite curiosity and passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) among K-12 students.
What to Expect
The festival will feature over 60 engaging activity stations where children can dive into hands-on learning experiences. Attendees will have opportunities to:
- - Operate robots
- - Build motorized model cars
- - Fly drones
- - Experience live animal dissections
- - Ride on a hovercraft
These activities are designed not only to entertain but also to develop critical thinking skills, fuel creativity, and encourage problem-solving. Students will interact with college volunteers and STEM professionals, making it a memorable morning of exploration and discovery.
Dr. Calvin Mackie, the Founder and CEO of STEM NOLA/STEM Global Action, emphasizes the importance of accessibility and engagement in STEM education. He believes that by providing hands-on learning opportunities, they can inspire young minds and showcase the limitless possibilities available in STEM careers.

Additionally, STEM professionals and college students can make a significant impact by volunteering to guide activities and inspire young learners. Volunteers will receive a $50 stipend for their participation. Those interested can sign up
