Recently, students from the Tokyo Institute of Design and Technology (TECH.C.) achieved remarkable success in the
Tokyo esports Game Development Contest 2026. Out of numerous entries, two of their original games were honored in the student category during the event held from
January 9th to 11th at Tokyo Big Sight, part of the
Tokyo eSports Festa 2026.
The prestigious contest aimed to promote competitive gaming, and participants were tasked with creating engaging combat-style games. The impressive quality of the work presented by TECH.C. students was recognized for its innovative concepts, technical skills, and overall execution, leading to their selection for the awards.
During the event, both winning games showcased at designated booths allowed numerous attendees the opportunity to experience the creative work of the students firsthand. Many visitors noted the significant value of being able to play original games developed by students, highlighting the unique learning and production environment fostered at TECH.C.
