APA Hotel Extends Partnership with JFA
Recently, APA Hotel, headquartered in Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo, announced a fundamental agreement to extend its partnership with the Japan Football Association (JFA) as a "National Team Partner" from 2027 to 2030. This extension will allow APA Hotel to further support various Japanese national teams, including the famous SAMURAI BLUE (men's national team) and Nadeshiko Japan (women's national team), as well as youth teams, futsal, and beach soccer representatives.
Since 2023, APA Hotel has been proudly backing the national football teams, contributing to their success not only through accommodations but also by offering unique products such as the "APA President Curry," which became the official curry of the Japanese national team after exceeding 10 million sales. In addition, the APA President Rice, designed to complement the curry, has also been officially recognized as the rice for the national team, with themed packaging available for fans.
The CEO of APA Group, Fumiko Motoya, expressed gratitude towards JFA for their ongoing support. He acknowledged that the partnership has enhanced the credibility and visibility of APA Hotel on both domestic and international stages. "Our collaboration symbolizes a shared passion for football and a commitment to advancing Japanese soccer," he stated.
Additionally, on March 2025, APA Hotel will enter into an advertising agreement with head coach Hajime Moriyasu, launching original rooms themed around him and television commercials that promote both the hotel and Japanese football. This marketing strategy aims to unite the hotel’s brand with the national team's mission of showcasing Japan’s pride globally.
JFA President Tsunehisa Miyamoto commented on the extension, stating that having APA Hotel as a partner is a significant strength for the team, particularly as they approach the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the following tournament in 2030. The partnership will foster a sense of connection between fans and the national team, particularly through products like the APA President Curry and Rice.
With upcoming international tournaments, including the 2027 Women's World Cup and the 2028 Senior International Tournament, as well as the 2030 Men's World Cup, there are multiple exciting prospects for Japanese football. The partnership aims to energize fan support and build a stronger community around the national teams by taking initiatives that foster engagement.
APA Group operates a significant portfolio of hotels, with 346 properties in Japan and 54 overseas. Recent achievements in their five-year plan “AIM5”, which began in April 2022, have led to further investment and strategic planning, targeting the opening of 100,000 domestic hotel rooms and 10,000 international rooms by 2031.
