Verdagy and Black & Veatch: A New Era of Clean Hydrogen Production



In an ambitious move to propel clean hydrogen forward, Verdagy recently announced its collaboration with Black & Veatch for the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study of a significant clean hydrogen project in Texas. This partnership is set to create a clean hydrogen plant capable of producing over 9,000 tons of hydrogen per year, with energy output reaching around 60 megawatts.

The strategic location in Texas is poised to harness significant investments, with projections indicating that this initiative could infuse over $150 million into the local economy. The technology to be utilized for this clean hydrogen project includes Verdagy's state-of-the-art eDynamic® electrolyzers. These innovative systems are designed to operate with the broadest dynamic range in the industry, allowing them to adjust in real time to shifts in energy supply from the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) grid. This adaptability not only enhances grid resilience but also maximizes hydrogen production, ensuring compliance with RFNBO regulations necessary for European Union markets and adhering to U.S. Treasury guidelines as well.

Notable for its commitment to domestic manufacturing, Verdagy's electrolyzers are produced within the United States, promoting local job creation and supply chain stability.
