GLOBIS Unveils Cutting-Edge AI Coaching Feature: GAiC
GLOBIS Graduate School of Management, based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is transforming the landscape of business education with its groundbreaking AI coaching feature, GAiC (GLOBIS AI Coaching). Slated for launch in July 2025, GAiC integrates video content with artificial intelligence to enhance its "Nano Courses," granting MBA credits in a flexible and personalized learning format.
This innovative function tailors feedback to each participant based on their job roles, experiences, and learning motivations, creating an engaging and effective educational journey. The Nano Courses aim to provide a highly personalized experience, helping students achieve specific learning goals in a manner that resonates with their individual career paths.
GAiC is designed to support learners throughout their educational process. Starting with a reflective assistance feature, it will gradually expand to encompass interactive lectures and problem discovery support, continually evolving into a comprehensive learning partner designed to foster individual growth and enhance the overall learning experience.
The Nano Courses draw content from GLOBIS's subscription-based video learning service, "GLOBIS Unlimited." Launched in April 2022, these courses allow students to earn one-third of a typical MBA course credit (0.5 credits) at a significantly reduced fee—one-third of the standard tuition for single course students.
The module encourages students to reflect on their key takeaways weekly, posting insights that the AI responds to with personalized feedback. Before commencing the program, learners input details about their career backgrounds, skills, and their specific challenges or motivations regarding education. GAiC analyzes this data to provide targeted feedback that is specific to each student's situation, steering clear of generic advice. This facilitation of interactive communication between AI and learners not only deepens their understanding but also makes engaging in business studies enjoyable.
Examples of GAiC’s Interactive Coaching
Previous to the GAiC implementation, GLOBIS has actively harnessed AI to deliver deeper learning experiences. Currently, it employs two systems developed by the GLOBIS AI Management Research Institute (GAiMERi): the AI Learning System, GAiL, and the dialogue-oriented learning system, GAiChaL. GAiL, patented in 2022, provides feedback on open-ended responses to exercises, catering to individual learning needs. GAiChaL allows students to use a chat interface to easily engage with exercises and receive answers to their queries.
