MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2026: A Celebration of Artistic Diversity and Creativity

MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2026 - An Unmissable Artistic Experience

From October 9th to 12th in 2026, the streets of Tennozu, Tokyo, will transform into an art lover's paradise as MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2026 takes center stage. This four-day festival brings together over 150 artists, ensuring a rich tapestry of creativity and expression.

The annual event, organized by the MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL Executive Committee in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, promises a dynamic showcase that blends a variety of art forms. Whether you're an avid collector or simply curious, this festival offers something for everyone.

Art Exhibition: 'REFLUX - The Rising Signs'

One of the highlights of the festival is the art exhibition titled 'REFLUX - The Rising Signs'. Led by artistic director Mirai Moriyama, this exhibition introduces a unique performance program that explores interactive experiences between art, performance, and audience engagement. Featuring six fascinating artist groups—Kanakiti, QUICK|Takahiko Fukui, contact Gonzo, So-Souen, Saori Hara, and Tomohito Waki—this program challenges conventional viewing by using the exhibition space itself as a stage. Each performance takes place in response to the surrounding artworks, creating a symbiotic relationship between performers, art, and spectators that redefines the concept of audience participation.

Mirai Moriyama himself stated, "The exhibition is designed not just for visual appreciation, but to engage multiple non-verbal interactions that heighten the viewer’s experience, making each encounter vivid and unforgettable."

Art Fair CO-CROSSOVER - 'Romantic Beyond Us (Earth)'

Another key component of the festival is the CO-CROSSOVER art fair, which showcases over 40 artists in 15 thematic exhibitions under this year’s evocative theme. Notable presentations include Brian Hamill's documentation of John Lennon from the 1970s and solo exhibitions by contemporary artists like Kazuki Umezawa and Manbo Key. Each display aims to link culture and community, offering a multi-dimensional perspective of contemporary art as it intersects with technology and nature.

The fair will also feature specialized curation areas that spotlight emerging talents with themes that resonate with the audience's emotions and thoughts about love—challenging them to reflect on the nature of relationships today.

MEET YOUR ARTISTS

The festival will also present MEET YOUR ARTISTS, a fair dedicated to the next generation of talent. With participants such as Yukino Yamanaka, Taiki Yokote (CON_), Dan Isomura, and Kanade Hamamoto (EUKARYOTE), this avenue promises to highlight innovative works that prompt dialogue about contemporary issues, layered with the nuances of Japanese aesthetics.

Interactive Installations and Projects

In addition to visual artworks, the festival will feature experimental installations such as 'ANALOG HOLOGRAPHY' by stylist and artist Tatsuya Shimada and 'idea for love', a collaborative initiative focusing on love's multifaceted nature. Attendees are invited not just to observe but to participate in the installation, reflecting modern interpretations of love through art.

Ticket Information

Visitors can purchase advance tickets online, with early bird discounts available until September 8, 2026. The festival promises an inclusive environment; thus, children under middle school age will be admitted for free, making it an ideal family destination.

In conclusion, the MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2026 is set to redefine how we engage with art, offering a plethora of immersive experiences and thought-provoking displays. We can’t wait to see you in Tennozu, where art meets community!
