Aviation Capital Group's Historic Order
Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) made headlines recently by announcing a monumental order for 75 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. This remarkable acquisition marks the largest order in ACG's nearly 40-year history, a bold move that underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing its fleet.
The order is poised for delivery between 2032 and 2035 and comes with conversion rights for various models within the A320neo Family, ensuring ACG has the necessary flexibility to adapt its future delivery pipeline. As of June 30, 2026, ACG already boasts a fleet of 118 A320neo Family aircraft, and with this new order, they will hold a remarkable total of 115 outstanding orders for the A320neo Family.
According to Thomas Baker, CEO and President of ACG, this order reflects their strategic focus on modern narrowbody aircraft that are currently in high demand from airlines worldwide. “This largest order in our history reinforces our confidence in the future of air travel and our pivotal role as a vital link between airlines, aircraft, and capital,” Baker stated.
Rob Downes, Chief OEM Officer of ACG, emphasized the importance of the A320neo Family among airline customers, saying it satisfies both replacement and growth needs. He pointed out that this substantial investment allows ACG to meet market demand and expands their orderbook pipeline into the mid-2030s, thus positioning the company for continued growth.
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP of Sales for Commercial Aircraft, expressed his excitement regarding the longstanding partnership between ACG and Airbus, which dates back to 2007, when ACG placed its first order with the aircraft manufacturer. “This order allows ACG to offer the A320neo Family – known as the world's most modern and efficient single-aisle aircraft – through the next decade,” he remarked.
The A320neo Family features advanced engines from CFM and Pratt & Whitney, boasting up to 20% lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per seat compared to older models, along with a significant noise reduction of up to 50%. The A320neo can accommodate as many as 194 passengers and has a range of up to 3,400 nautical miles, while the larger A321neo can carry up to 244 passengers with a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles.
This historic order is not just a significant step for ACG; it signals the company’s belief in continued growth and innovation in the aviation sector. The order is a testament to ACG's strategic foresight and ability to adapt to the dynamically evolving demands of the airline industry.
As a premier global full-service aircraft asset manager, ACG oversees approximately 500 owned, managed, and committed aircraft, leased to nearly 85 airlines across 50 countries. Founded in 1989 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation, ACG has solidified its place as an influential player in the commercial aircraft leasing sector.
