Soga Corporation Empowers Cultural Heritage at Miss Nippon 2026

On January 26, 2026, the 58th Miss Nippon Contest took place at the Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Presented by Soga Corporation, a company specializing in the rental and sale of bridal and celebratory attire, this event showcased the beauty of traditional Japanese culture. Through their collaboration with bittersweet international, Soga Corporation not only provided exquisite kimonos for contestants but also offered professional dressing services during this prestigious event.

This year marks the 58th anniversary of Soga Corporation's consistent sponsorship of the Miss Nippon Contest, a platform that celebrates Japanese beauty and cultural heritage. The company’s mission is to foster a connection between the traditional elegance of Japan and the younger generation, thus ensuring that the beauty of Japan's cultural roots is preserved and appreciated.

In the kimono evaluation segment of the contest, 13 finalists donned gorgeous kimonos provided by Grandjour, a brand offered at six locations within the Isetan department store. The dressing expertise was provided by bittersweet’s beauty division, highlighting their commitment to quality and tradition.

Among the notable moments was the selection of Hirashima Mone, a 22-year-old contestant from Fukuoka, as this year’s Miss Kimono. She has been recognized not only for her beautiful kimono presentation but also for her commendable efforts in promoting sign language as a language reporter, particularly during the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics. Her charismatic personality and ability to convey messages through sign language proved to be essential factors in her selection.

This year's title holders included:
  • - Miss Nippon Semi-Finalist: Masaki Yuyu (20, Tokyo)
  • - Green Ambassador: Nagata Manami (20, Nagasaki)
  • - Miss Nippon Grand Prix: Noguchi Eko (21, Tokyo)
