NAMAKORIUM Early Access Launches!
Polyscape Inc. has officially announced the early access release of their casual multiplayer RTS game,
NAMAKORIUM. The game, starring the cute sea cucumber cleaning crew, is available on
Steam with a limited-time price of 1,200 yen, reduced from its original price of 1,500 yen for the first two weeks of access.
To celebrate the release, a vibrant trailer showcasing the unique game mechanics, including “Sea Cucumber Bombs” and “Oke Galle-sama,” has been unveiled, alongside new footage and images never seen before. This playful strategy game invites players to take command of these cleaning creatures to restore polluted oceans, promising tons of fun and challenges.
Unique Gameplay Experience
NAMAKORIUM allows up to four players to join forces in a cooperative environment. Players will command their charming sea cucumbers to tackle the remnants of human-caused ocean pollution. The game not only features beautiful graphics but also integrates strategic gameplay mechanics that require teamwork and multi-tasking.
Alongside the early access, the developer is also running a significant sale for their first title,
MISTROGUE, announcing a discount of 75% available for one week starting February 3rd. This campaign aims to not only bring awareness to NAMAKORIUM but also to acknowledge the game’s history and support.
Crowdfunding Success
Polyscape has already kicked off a crowdfunding campaign aimed at expanding
NAMAKORIUM into a global intellectual property (IP). Launched on January 9, this campaign saw an impressive 100% funding achievement within just one day. The funding effort will continue until February 28, with exciting new rewards such as mini-cushion straps, original T-shirts, and mini-figures being introduced.
Each funding goal will offer additional bonuses: reaching 1.5 million yen grants original stickers, 2 million yen provides badges, and 3 million yen marks the launch of a celebration event.
What Lies Ahead for NAMAKORIUM
While the early access version brings a wealth of new stages and mechanics, feedback from the public beta conducted from October 14-27, 2025, has greatly influenced the development roadmap. The player community expressed interest in a solo mode, which will be implemented in February, while additional gimmicks and stages are set for release in March.
Multiplayer Features
The game’s multiplayer segment enables seamless collaborations, allowing friends and new players to unite using a simple hosting system. Players can create rooms with a passcode for a more private gaming experience. Furthermore, an official
Discord server has been launched to facilitate community engagement, share updates, and gather feedback.
Share Your Experience
The developers encourage streaming and video uploads related to
NAMAKORIUM, with no restrictions on content creation, ensuring monetization is also welcome.
