Engage in Customer Experience Learning at mct's Event
On June 11, 2026, mct, a Tokyo-based CX design consulting firm, invites you to a hands-on event titled "Everyone's CX Laboratory: A Practical Program to Experience Learning through Lectures, Videos, and Workshops". This free event will take place at the International Design Liaison Center in Akasaka, Tokyo, and will focus on translating Customer Experience (CX) theory into actionable insights relevant to your daily work.
Understanding the Need for CX
The importance of CX has increasingly been recognized; however, many professionals still struggle with how to integrate it into their roles and company culture. While it's clear that CX matters, many individuals feel uncertain about where to start and how to engage their teams effectively. This event aims to bridge this gap through an immersive and practical 90-minute program.
Using insights gained from their consulting experience, mct has developed a CX learning podcast, "Gather Around! CX Laboratory," which will serve as a critical educational tool during the event. Participants will take part in lectures, video viewings, and collaborative workshops to transform theoretical knowledge into personal understanding.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in CX but unsure of how to begin. Whether you want to deepen your understanding of how to apply CX principles to your job or are involved in promoting CX initiatives within your organization, this event is designed for you. Human resources and strategic planning professionals seeking to design effective training programs will also find valuable insights.
Rest assured, even those new to CX will feel comfortable participating, as the content will meticulously cover the foundational aspects. In addition, HR attendees can use this program as a reference example for internal training modules.
Program Outline
PROGRAM 1: Understanding the Basics of CX (First 45 Minutes)
Led by Jonathan Brown, mct's CXM Consulting Leader, this first segment will provide a comprehensive introduction to the concept of CX. Through diverse case studies, participants will explore what customer perspective and experiences entail, reshaping their understanding of daily operations in relation to CX. This foundational part will establish a base for participants to think about how CX applies personally and organizationally.
Jonathan Brown hails from London and graduated from the University of Cambridge with a focus on Japanese studies. In 2000, he established Forrester Research's Japan office, where he introduced knowledge on personas and customer journey mapping to Japan. After leading CX strategy consulting at the London office, he joined mct in 2019 and is fluent in English, French, German, and Japanese.
PROGRAM 2: Translating CX Knowledge into Personal Insight (Next 45 Minutes)
In this segment, participants will engage with mct's CX learning podcast, "Gather Around! CX Laboratory," and participate in activities focused on applying a customer-centric viewpoint to their own work contexts. Through sharing and collaboration with other attendees, the variety of perspectives will enrich their understanding.
The podcast used as study material is available for free, and early viewing is encouraged.
