In an effort to guide aspiring students, Zenken Corporation, in partnership with the Overseas Study Promotion Association, will be offering an informative online session for prospective students aiming for admission in 2026. This session, focused on the transfer process to the University of California (UC) through community colleges, will provide valuable insights into a more cost-effective educational path. The community college system in the United States, particularly in California, operates primarily through state or local government frameworks, offering affordable education that allows students to complete their first two years before transferring to a four-year university.

During this event, we will welcome staff from Diablo Valley College, which is renowned for its robust transfer rates to UC Berkeley. Participants will learn about the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program that Diablo Valley College offers, enabling students to navigate the transfer process effectively. The session will cover essential strategies on how to leverage California's community colleges to facilitate a smoother transition into the University of California system, specifically UCLA and UC Berkeley, while addressing both financial considerations and academic planning.

Attendees will discover that the annual study abroad costs at the University of California can exceed 10 million yen, which underscores the need for careful financial planning in relation to tuition fees. By beginning their studies at a community college, students can significantly reduce these costs during the initial years. Furthermore, achieving good grades at the community college level enhances students' chances of securing admission to prestigious UC campuses, making their educational goals more attainable.
