Little Caesars Love Kitchen Takes Action in West Virginia
In a heartfelt initiative, the
Little Caesars Love Kitchen is set to provide free, hot pizzas to approximately 8,000 people across West Virginia starting October 26. This noble endeavor features five community servings, each designed to support local residents who are in need of a warm meal.
The program is spearheaded by Vicki Dunn-Marshall, a dedicated franchisee of Little Caesars, along with her team and Chief Marketing Officer,
Sabrina Donahue-Moore. Together, they will serve around 2,000 pizzas to local agencies like the
Mountaineer Food Bank and
Facing Hunger Food Bank. These organizations will help identify who requires these meals, ensuring that the pizzas reach the hands that need them most.
Each day's serving will consist of about 400 pizzas, with the expectation to serve roughly 1,600 individuals daily. As Christine Snyder, the National Director of the Love Kitchen, noted, “Our franchisees are profoundly connected to their communities. This initiative reflects their commitment to helping their neighbors.” The project is made possible through hours of hard work from the franchisee's team, who believe in giving back to the community.
The
Love Kitchen has been transforming lives since its inception in 1985, having fed over four million people throughout the United States and parts of Canada. Over the years, the mobile kitchen has provided much-needed sustenance to those facing food and housing insecurity, especially in times of crisis such as natural disasters.
The planned community servings in West Virginia include:
- - October 26: Buckhannon, West Virginia
- - October 27: Charleston, West Virginia
- - October 28: Huntington, West Virginia
- - October 29: Welch, West Virginia
- - November 5: Beckley, West Virginia
Working closely with local agencies allows Little Caesars to tailor their efforts to the specific needs of each community. This relationship not only helps to distribute meals effectively but also encourages a sense of unity amongst residents.
Little Caesars itself has a rich history, founded in 1959 by Mike and Marian Ilitch as a single family-owned restaurant. Today, it ranks as the third-largest pizza chain globally, emphasizing quality and customer service, with a special nod to its celebrated menu items like
HOT-N-READY® pizza and
Crazy Bread®. Their commitment to social responsibility is clear in their missions like the
Love Kitchen, showcasing how businesses can positively impact within their communities.
Every serving of pizza that the Love Kitchen distributes serves not just to feed, but also to bring comfort and hope to those who might be struggling. It is an initiative that truly embodies the spirit of generosity and support, bringing together community members over a piping hot meal.
It's clear that Little Caesars is not just a brand, but a vital part of the communities they serve. The Love Kitchen is a testament to their commitment to social responsibility, a project that has brought together millions over shared meals and hope for the future. As these community servings roll out in West Virginia, many will experience the heartwarming impact of pizza brought with love, care, and a community spirit that defines Little Caesars and its franchisees.
