Hibiya Kadan Launches 'Thank You for the First Time' Project for Mother's Day Nationwide

Hibiya Kadan's Exciting New Initiative for Mother's Day

As Mother's Day approaches, Hibiya Kadan, a leading floral company based in Tokyo, is set to launch a heartwarming project inviting kindergartens and nurseries across Japan to participate in their 'Thank You for the First Time' initiative. Announced on April 10, 2026, this project aims to inspire children to express their gratitude to their families through the gift of flowers, specifically beautifully wrapped carnations.

A Meaningful Gesture

For many children, the act of giving flowers on Mother's Day has become increasingly overlooked. Juggling busy schedules often leads to missed opportunities to show appreciation for loved ones. Hibiya Kadan recognizes this gap and is stepping in to cultivate a culture of gratitude and kindness for future generations. Through this program, children will receive a fresh carnation, grown with care by local producers, allowing them to convey their feelings of appreciation with their own hands. This simple act not only brings joy to recipients but also enriches the children's own hearts, fostering a sense of fulfillment and understanding.

Carnations are flowers steeped in meaning, with red ones symbolizing love for mothers and pink ones representing gratitude. Each child will receive one carnation as part of the initiative, lovingly packaged to preserve its freshness. Supported by the Hibiya Kadan Group's subsidiary, Frenet Hibiya, participants can look forward to a rewarding Mother's Day experience.

Encouraging Educational Opportunities

This initiative also aims to assist educators in enriching their teaching environments. Hibiya Kadan encourages kindergarten and nursery teachers to use this project as part of their emotional education programs. By nurturing children's sensitivity and thoughtfulness, the experience of giving flowers can bolster their confidence and create cherished memories. The act of gifting blossoms cultivates a deeper bond between the children and their families, reinforcing communal ties.

Project Participation Details

Each selected kindergarten will receive:
  • - One beautifully wrapped carnation per child,
  • - One bottle of Kagome’s exclusive vegetable juice, 'More Vegetables,' also per child.

This initiative is free, with participating institutions chosen through a lottery; not every application can be fulfilled, emphasizing the select nature of this special event. Educators must facilitate the distribution of these items on either May 7 or 8, 2026, and are encouraged to share photos and testimonials about the experience.

Timeline

  • - Application Period: April 10-17, 2026
  • - Winners Announced: Around April 20, 2026

Supporting Freshness and Quality

Along with the emotional gifts of the carnations, the accompanying vegetable juice is also crafted to promote health. Aiming to provide a daily serving of vegetables, Kagome's juice offers balance to family diets. Embracing conversations and smiles, this initiative hopes to bridge gaps within households, encouraging wholesome interactions and shared experiences.
