Aeson Power Showcases Groundbreaking Technologies at Data Centre World Asia 2025
Aeson Power, a prominent Australian company specializing in integrated energy solutions, made a significant impact at the Data Centre World Asia 2025 held at the Singapore Expo and Convention Centre. At this prestigious event, the company unveiled its latest advancements in sodium-ion battery technology and bipolar solutions, aiming to enhance the performance and reliability of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
Innovations in Energy Solutions
The introduction of three distinct sodium-ion battery solutions at this event highlighted Aeson Power's commitment to addressing the growing demands of large-scale Internet Data Centers (IDCs) and outdoor telecommunications stations operating in harsh environments. These technologies also cater to regions plagued by unstable power grids, providing reliable energy storage options that increase efficiency and safety.
1. High-Performance Backup for IDCs
The first solution is a sodium-ion battery designed for high performance with a remarkable 6C charge rate. This modular battery system utilizes 48V and 80Ah packs to replace conventional 12V 200Ah lead-acid systems. The result is a significant 70% reduction in battery capacity, coupled with over 50% less volume and weight, which also leads to more than a 50% decrease in cooling energy consumption.
2. Resilience for Outdoor Telecommunications
Aeson Power also presented a 48V 50Ah standard module tailored for outdoor applications under extreme climate conditions. This battery can function from -40°C to high heat, making it suitable for regions with erratic power supply. Compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries, this sodium-ion version offers a longer cycle life, enhanced safety, and better predictability in long-term costs.
3. General UPS Solution
For areas suffering from unreliable power supply, especially in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Africa, Aeson Power introduced a 12V 100Ah sodium-ion battery. This innovation boasts 50% less weight than lead-acid batteries and promises a 25% increase in mid-term backup duration, alongside five times the lifespan during deep discharge scenarios. Importantly, it supports continuous charging.
Advancements in Bipolar Technology
In addition to sodium-ion solutions, Aeson Power introduced its cutting-edge bipolar battery technology for large-scale IDC backups. The new TUS series utilizes advanced bipolar plates combined with a 3D stacking connection technology. This design reduces internal resistance by up to 70% and increases discharge voltage by approximately 0.9V per 12V unit. This innovation delivers a 35% higher 5-minute power density while also being 15% smaller and lighter than traditional HR lead-acid batteries, thus lowering the overall system costs.
Commitment to Reliability and Innovation
Building on three decades of sophisticated lead-acid manufacturing expertise in China, Aeson Power continues to offer dependable and cost-effective lead-acid batteries. Their HR series is well-suited for short-duration IDC backups, while the FAB series caters to long-term standby needs.
As a global leader in energy storage and battery solutions, Aeson Power is dedicated to delivering safe, clean, and affordable energy. Their sodium-ion battery innovations and advanced backup systems are set to revolutionize power supply across various industries and regions, establishing new standards in performance and reliability.
