Seminar Report on Housing Sales
On April 24, 2026, the Japan Good Builder Association (JGBA) organized a significant seminar entitled "Achieving a 20-Fold Increase in Housing Sales: Verbalizing Sales Techniques and Creating Effective Systems." This event was held both online and in person, attracting a diverse audience of 51 participants, with 40 joining virtually and 11 attending in person.
The seminar featured Mr. Yasuki Ishizaka, CEO of Smilish Inc., who presented innovative methods for transforming the conventional sales approach in the housing industry. He emphasized the importance of moving away from a sales style reliant on an individual's "sense" to a more logical, systematized methodology aimed at maximizing organizational outcomes.
Mr. Ishizaka highlighted the necessity of translating the innate skills of top salespeople into replicable skills that anyone can master. He argued that the key to maximizing organizational profits is not merely making everyone a top seller but rather uplifting the middle sales forces into a "moderately successful" category. By sharing systematic dialogue techniques that draw out customers' underlying intentions from their subtle cues and reactions, organizations can cultivate a sales environment that doesn't depend solely on individual capabilities.
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. One participant remarked, "I was deeply moved by the generous sharing of knowledge and found the content to be truly inspiring. I now understand strategies for systematizing sales that I previously struggled with." Another attendee expressed gratitude, saying, "I've realized that I was progressing under the false impression that I understood our current situation. I now feel motivated to apply these insights to my organization."
