The event will run until March 23, 2026, at the Ronald Williams Library situated at NEIU's Main Campus in Chicago. The exhibit also includes images captured during study trips to Burundi, taken by NEIU students, faculty, and staff between 2023 and 2025.

Dr. Jeanine Ntihirageza, Director of the GHRAD Center and a genocide survivor herself, explains the critical importance of this exhibition. “There has been a deep silence around the 1972 genocide of the Hutu people in Burundi,” she remarked.
