Craft Japan 2025'. This event will commence on September 4, 2025, at both Spring Valley Brewery locations in Tokyo and Kyoto, showcasing Japan's rich autumn harvest—also known as the season of abundance.

Autumn in Japan, often called the 'season of harvest,' brings an abundance of diverse and appealing ingredients. This special initiative aims to highlight local flavors by pairing Japanese craft beer with the country's culinary delights, allowing guests to experience the essence of this fruitful season.

Background of the Event

Upon reaching its milestone anniversary on January 9, 2025, Spring Valley Brewery aims to provide exceptional beer experiences throughout the year. The emphasis for the fifth event in this series is on the Japanese autumn harvest, with a specific focus on hops—an essential ingredient in beer production. This harvesting season typically peaks from late August to early September, coinciding with the introduction of fresh hop beers and other varieties crafted with Japanese-grown hops.

With 'Enjoy! Craft Japan 2025,' we want to immerse our customers in the world of Japanese hops and celebrate the flavors they bring to craft beer.

Highlight #1: A Culinary Journey with Local Delights!

‘Craft Beer & Autumn Treats in SVB Tokyo’

On the evening of September 4, 2025, SVB Tokyo will host a special one-night event where guests can savor craft beers made from ingredients sourced from all over Japan, alongside seasonal local delicacies. This event features an all-you-can-drink arrangement with craft beers from ten breweries, including SVB, showcasing flavors from nine different regions. Moreover, SVB Tokyo will be offering an exclusive preview of its seasonal dish 'Autumn Delight – Sudachi & Kabosu' during the event.

Participants will be treated to a ‘Taste of Autumn Box’ filled with six regional delicacies, while a knowledgeable beer coordinator will lead a discussion on food and beer pairing, creating a perfect harmony of taste.

Highlight #2: Kyoto's Culinary Collaboration!

‘SVB Kyoto 8th Anniversary Celebration’

On September 8, 2025, to honor its 8th anniversary, SVB Kyoto will organize a unique event that replicates the vibrant atmosphere of Nishiki Market, known as 'Kyoto's Kitchen.' A special beer, ‘Kyoto 8th Anniversary – Yagurenen Hojicha’, brewed with hojicha from the historic Yagurenen tea house, will complement the experience. Attendees will also get to delight in a Nishiki Market Gourmet Box featuring six of Kyoto’s most popular local dishes.

In addition to gourmet food, there will be guest talks and performances by renowned artists, promising a cozy and memorable evening.

Highlight #3: Joint Fair across both locations!

SVB 10th Anniversary 'Gift of Japan' Fair

From September 5 until October 31, 2025, both SVB Tokyo and SVB Kyoto will host a special fair featuring seasonal dishes crafted from local ingredients. SVB Tokyo will introduce five new dishes inspired by local autumn flavors, while SVB Kyoto will highlight three new creations utilizing Kyoto’s ingredients, paired with exclusive limited-edition beers.

Highlight #4: Craft Beer Japan Hop Festival 2025!

A highlight of the autumn will be the ‘Craft Beer Japan Hop Festival 2025’ featuring a celebration of freshly harvested hops. Scheduled for October 25 and 26, this festival will allow beer lovers to explore a range of hop-infused beers paired with seasonal dishes, including grilled sanma (saury) fish, a celebration of autumn in Japan.
