Taro Yanagi's Exhibition: Celebrating the Beauty of Susaki City
This February, Ginza will be the host to a captivating art exhibition featuring the works of Taro Yanagi, an artist deeply inspired by the rich nature and cultural heritage of Susaki City in Kochi Prefecture. The exhibition titled "Susaki Engi-ezu Exhibition: Ginza no Maki" will take place from February 5 to February 12, 2026, at the esteemed Taimei Gallery located in Chuo City, Tokyo.
Taro Yanagi is known for creating artwork that draws inspiration from his experiences in Susaki City. His latest exhibition will showcase numerous pieces, including his newly created works as well as previous pieces that highlight the vibrant scenery and historical culture of Susaki. A focal point of the exhibition will be the magnificent ceiling art titled "Susaki Engi-ezu", which was previously displayed in Los Angeles in 2024. This piece, a true highlight of Yanagi's artistic journey, will be revealed in Tokyo before it returns to its hometown, where it will be dedicated at the Furuiichi Rakuzan.
