Experience a Magical Christmas Wonderland with Toy Orchestra
The Toshima Mirai Cultural Foundation, located in Toshima, Tokyo, is excited to announce the enchanting winter event, "Toy Orchestra’s Winter Wonderland – Let’s Play Christmas with Hinemosu!" on December 19 and 20, 2026, at the Toshima Community Center. This delightful event is perfect for children and families, offering an unforgettable musical experience filled with toys, instruments, and a whimsical atmosphere reminiscent of a storybook.
Event Highlights
1. Circus-like Musical Experience
The highlight of the event will be a mesmerizing performance by Hinemosu, led by the creative Takahashi Pechika. Utilising an assortment of instruments such as the melodica, toy piano, and various DIY instruments made from recycled materials, this show promises to deliver a vibrant and fantastical musical journey. Attendees will be transported into a fictional land, where unique sounds and melodies await.
2. Interactive Workshop and Performance
Before the concert, attendees can engage in a hands-on workshop where they will craft their own "Cymbal-playing Doll". This interactive session is designed for elementary-aged children and their guardians, offering a chance to create and then jointly perform in a mini-band with Hinemosu during the concert opener later in the afternoon.
3. Family-Friendly Christmas Event
This particular event caters to families with children ages 0 to elementary school. The concert atmosphere is lively and casual, ensuring that even the youngest guests, including newborns, can enjoy the experience. It’s a space where laughter and excitement fill the air, making it a heartwarming Christmas event.

- - Location: Toshima Community Center, 8th Floor Multipurpose Hall
- - Participants: Suitable for ages 0 and up
- - Capacity: Approximately 200 attendees per session.

Hinemosu is a unique toy orchestra founded in 2004 under the direction of Takahashi Pechika. Known for their playful performances that blend traditional instruments like the recorder and tuba with whimsical toys, they provide a fresh and imaginative take on music. With several CDs and soundtracks under their belt, their work includes contributions to popular TV shows such as "The Magic of Tidying Up" and morning dramas like "Crescendo to Advance".
