Celebrating Diversity: Hotel Groove Shinjuku's Vibrant Pride Month Initiatives

Hotel Groove Shinjuku's Commitment to Pride Month

In June, the vibrant district of Kabukicho in Shinjuku transforms into a rainbow of colors in celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Hotel Groove Shinjuku, managed by Takeshi Torii, is joining in on the festivities with a series of exciting initiatives designed to promote diversity and inclusion. As part of its offerings, the hotel will feature rainbow-themed menus at its JAM17 Dining & Bar and Gelateria, along with a specially curated playlist on its official Spotify account, "GROOVE MUSIC."

A Celebration of Diversity

Understanding the significance of Pride Month, Hotel Groove Shinjuku has created a special logo that showcases the rainbow colors, reflecting its commitment to honoring the diversity of gender and life. Among the initiatives, the hotel will host the event "BLING BLING NIGHT Presented by HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU," and participate in the Tokyo Pride 2026 Pride Festival, emphasizing that their celebration is about more than just hospitality; it's a multifaceted cultural expression aiming to resonate with everyone.

The hotel strives to create an environment where guests can feel comfortable expressing their true selves. This commitment also extends to the workplace, as the hotel actively promotes hiring diverse talents, including those from the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for all associates.

Rainbow Menu Offerings

During Pride Month, guests can indulge in vibrant and delicious rainbow-inspired offerings:

In line with the celebration, Hotel Groove Shinjuku will also release an exciting playlist on Spotify, curated specifically for Pride Month. Featuring 20 lively tracks that embody the joyous spirit of the 70s disco era, 80s dance pop, and contemporary LGBTQ+-friendly hits, the playlist is designed to invigorate and uplift listeners. The playlist is supervised and selected by DJ SHIKISAI, who promises an electrifying experience starting from May 20th.

Participation in Tokyo Pride 2026

Hotel Groove Shinjuku will be prominently featured at the Tokyo Pride 2026 Festival, Asia's largest LGBTQ+ event. This year marks the third time the hotel has set up a booth at the festival, expanding its space to include a photo booth and message board. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in games through official social media posts, with prizes including accommodation vouchers and dining experiences. The festival runs from June 6 to June 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Yoyogi Park.

BLING BLING NIGHT Returns

Following a successful event last year, Hotel Groove Shinjuku is again hosting the one-night-only party at AiSOTOPE LOUNGE, Shinjuku’s largest gay club. Titled "Neo Tokyo Fever," this event promises stellar performances from renowned DJs and drag queens, creating a festive atmosphere for all attendees. The party will take place on June 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with tickets priced at ¥2,500, including a drink.

Lighting Up Kabukicho

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, where Hotel Groove is located, will be illuminated in rainbow colors from June 1 to June 30, enhancing the celebratory mood in the area through vivid light displays.

Hotel Groove Shinjuku is dedicated to becoming a hub for all, offering a space where guests can enjoy their stay authentically. With 538 rooms spanning from the 20th to 38th floors, the hotel boasts a design that reflects mid-century modern aesthetics while remaining firmly grounded in the local culture.
