Synopsis of 'The Work'
At the heart of the story is
Kazuhiko Ishiwaka, a manga creator who once made waves with his series,
'Ryuko ga Yuku', but has since faded into obscurity. A surprising opportunity arises when a publishing company expresses interest in adapting his unfinished work into a television drama. Filled with apprehension yet invigorated by his love for his creation, Kazuhiko finds himself caught between his artistic integrity and the commercial pressures of the entertainment industry.
Various stakeholders, from passionate editors to ambitious TV producers, rally around the common goal of delivering a quality product to the audience. As they navigate their differences, they'll confront what it truly means to create art and connect with viewers.
